WordPress… Day 1

My alarm gets me up at 6.40 for my early morning appointment with the laundromat. I spend the next 3 hours loading and unloading the machines until I’ve put a big dent in the massive pile of stinky linens that seem to have procreated exponentially whilst I’ve been ill. I run out of fabric softner far too quickly and I have to book another slot for start of next week.

I finally get around to catching up on some email, and in-keeping with fate of late … I get a message from my handler at the Social.
It’s been sitting in my inbox since Saturday, so not too long; but long enough for it to look like I haven’t bothered in responding. She asks me how I am and if I’ve been back to the Doctor yet and I have to give a truthful but feeble sounding excuse about being sick for the past 10 days, and then I immediately send an email to my Doctor’s surgery to see if I can get an appointment as quickly as possible.
I should have contacted them sooner really; the results from the x-rays stated that I have a few problems that need to be sorted, but I didn’t get a follow up appointment at the time to discuss what to do next.

I spend the next few hours configuring my Web Server for WordPress, which in the end, turns out to be pretty straight forward. I’ll continue to fiddle about with it for a bit. The over all design will change and there’s a lot of work to be done until I can run it live – but you get the idea.
